Aquaculture
The cultivation of aquatic animals and plants for food is a major growth industry. Increased consumer demand for higher quality, environmentally friendly food products has led to 25% of world fish requirements coming from aquaculture. CASP organizations have been integral in the establishment, set-up, operation, and maintenance of both fin fish and shellfish operations around the world in spat collection, egg/fry development, final grow out, and processing.
Fish Health
CASP organizations employ leading researchers and epidemiologists that can assist governments and businesses in addressing issues related to fish health. This includes wild fisheries and those related to animal husbandry.
